The University of Delhi established the Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE), Faculty of Open Learning, and Open Learning Development Center (OLDC) in 2022 under the umbrella of the Campus of Open Learning/School of Open Learning, University of Delhi. DDCE is a consortium of departments and disciplines such as the Department of Commerce, Department of Economics, Department of Education, Department of English, Department of Environmental Science, Department of History, Department of Hindi, Department of Political Science, Department of Punjabi, Department of Sanskrit and Department of Urdu, Department of Business and Financial Studies, Department of Library and Information Science, Department of Informatics, and Department of Psychology.
SOL DU Delhi University adheres to all scholarship programs offered by the University of Delhi. Delhi University SOL admission to UG courses is based on merit, while for PG it is based on both merit and admission. A SOL DU Delhi University degree is equivalent to a regular college degree at Delhi University. Delhi University SOL attracts students from diverse backgrounds, including those who face geographic constraints, financial constraints, or who may not be assured of admission to traditional programs.
