Alagappa University was established in 1985 and is located in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu. The university is accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC and its degree programs are recognized by UGC. Alagappa University has three main colleges and 51 affiliated colleges. In addition, Alagappa is also a member of AIU and Commonwealth University. QS World South Asian University is ranked 51st internationally in 2023. As per UGC-DEB Regulations 2020, DDE has been renamed as the Center for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). Both Open Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Learning (OL) divisions operate at CDOE. Alagappa University Distance Education Department was established in 1992 in this university. Alagappa University Distance Education offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of arts, sciences, education and management.
